PERSONAL AND FAMILY INFORMATION

Meet Linda,a hardworking girl in grade three.She comes from a humble background where she is being raised by struggling parents. Her father has been working as a black smithy, moving from door to door around the village and neighbouring villages repairing worn out cooking sufurias,jembes and water tanks where he charges a little cost for his labour.

He has been spending alot of time outside his family and the little cash he has been earning has been channeling it back to the family for their upkeep. The family has been facing challenges since the man of the house most times go earning nothing sometimes for days or even months  and this has contributed to most of the kids dropping out of school.

They are living in a small house that is in pathetic condition.The house is of mud walls,very small and with old sheets that are supported with large stones on the roof to prevent them from being blown by strong winds.

Linda who has been dreaming of becoming a teacher in future has been left in limbo. Her mother has been selling firewood, digging other people shambas to help with the growing needs of the family but this has never lessened the situation.

Lindas’ favorite subjects are Mathematics, Hygiene, Kiswahili and English.She also loves rope skipping during her free time
