PERSONAL AND FAMILY INFORMATION

Salima, a witty little girl in grade two and the most advantaged among her sibblings attending school. In her home, life is almost miserable to everybody. Most kids are not attending school due to their incapability to fund the cost.

Her father who did not get a chance to attend school has been struggling at least to be able to give an education to his children but the way things look, everything is becoming almost impossible.

They own a small hut that has small erected mud walls and thatched with palm leaves this is where the family of four siblings is being housed. Salima is the second born child in her family of two boys and two girls. Her father works as a toddy collector and out of his business, he has been earning a dime.

Her mother is working in a small cafeteria in a nearby market place and she is earning a small pay either. Salima who dreams of becoming a teacher is in the verge of dropping out of school. They mostly put up with a meal a day and sometimes they go without any. Her favorite subjects are Mathematics, Environmental, Kiswahili and English. She loves playing throw and catching game with her friends during her free time.
