Swaleh, a well behaved boy in grade three and the 6th born child in his family of four boys and five girls is in dilemma on how he will be able to complete his education. It has been the trend in his family that his siblings struggle to complete primary then fail to continue their education due to their levels of poverty
His father looks after neighbours animals where he is receiving a peanut of a salary. Furthermore he has a paralyzed arm rendering him from doing most jobs. His mother is hired selling toddy in a local pub, in local language known as (Mangwe) so that she can help her husband take care of their family. They live in a one room mud house that is thatched with palm leaves.
Swaleh dreams of becoming a pilot when he gets a chance to complete his education. His favorite subjects are Mathematics, English and Kiswahili. He also loves playing soccer during his free time.
